    i wonder if it's possible to attach a .txt-file
    at an e-mail ??
i want to write some records from a mysql table to a text-file,
so i can import this data into a .dbf file
    for off-line use.
    or....
is it possible to export the data from a mysql table,
to a .dbf database file and attach that file at an e-mail ???

if anybody has some examples please post it here,
    i appreciate it a lot !

    thanks,

    Jan, The Netherlands.

Sure there is a way to do that, but it is not done with a few lines of code, since the attchment gets Base64 encoded on its way through the net. You need "unique" boundaries and content headers according to RFC (dun know the# ba heart), so the the client receiving the attachment knows where it begins and where the end is. I would strongly recommend to study the book "PHP- Programming (Wrox)" Chapter 17. All you need is in there.

On the other hand, why not just save the table on the server in a web directory and just send the URL in the email? That way whoever receives the email can just click on the link and download the file.
