I have a large multiuser / multiprocessing e- commerce webserver running and I have to set up a new similar one in the next weeks. I always wonder whether I should migarte to PHP4. I'm kind of anxious, because I have Oracle & .fdf- Functions compiled into PHP and they need to run either and clean as they do now.

By the way, has anyone ZEND- optimizer experience ?? Is that good or is it likely to cause trouble in complex environments ??

Does anyone know something about the upcoming ZEND- compiler ?

Well I installed PHP4 on my single-processor Win32 machine at home so that I could use sessions, and it worked no problem. If you're running an ecommerce site then you're gonna want to use sessions for user management at some stage. I'm not sure about its performance but it seemed OK.
