I was currious if someone could educate me on the possibilities of using PHP with an existing C/C++ codebase. I have a significant amount of data and computation intensive algorithms that need to retained in their C/C++ libraries. I would like to use PHP to abstract the presentation from the computation -- but I have not been able to determine if PHP will work, and how, with an existing C/C++ codebase.
If anyone could tender their opinions I will look forward to reading them.

If you could run your C/C++ program as an outside program, make all it's output either go into a file, or to STDOUT, and then just call it from PHP you shouldn't have a problem, but I don't see anyway to actually combine the code into one.

if you wanted to, you could compile support for your functions/libraries into your own version of PHP, but that's probably a bit too involved!!
