    You might have an unmatched parenthesis in your regular expression.

    check out http://www.lilux.lu/htmlman/r/regcomp.3.html

    There's something about the REG_E... errors.
    Good luck !

    Andi

    P.S. Let me know what the problem was, because I have an REG_EPAREN error and can not solve it...my email: heid@fh-konstanz.de

    I found it why...

    I pulled out some variables from the database and the variable's value is "bla bla (";

    PHP script consider it as unmatched parentheses.
    I try to omit the parentheses and it works.

    The REG_EPAREN warning dissapear.
    But I still wondering how if I really want have those parentheses in my variables.

    I try to update the value in my table by escaping the parentheses with a backslash ")"
    But it doesn't work !!
    The value in my table doesn't change !!

    I don't know why ??
    Perhaps you can help me !!

    See ya !!
