I had no problem installing Apache/PHP/MySQL on my Linux machine, but just can't get it working under Windows (I want to be able to test locally while using Win32 development tools).

Apache works - http://localhost/ brings up the index.html page and httpd.conf is being read, since I can change the htdocs directory etc.

php works - if I type in "Chp text.php" where test.php consists of a phpinfo() call, it spits out all the right info without warnings.

However, when I try to open http://localhost/test.php, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Unable to open C:ProgramsApache GroupApachehtdocs/test.phtml in Unknown on line 0

**Note the forward slash in the path. I assume this is the problem, but nothing I change in the httpd.conf or php.ini seems to change this. I currently have the following settings in those files:

httpd.conf:

ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache"

DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache/htdocs/"

<Directory "C:/Program Files/Apache Group/Apache/htdocs/">

[I have had the above declared both with and without the trailing slash]

ScriptAlias /php/ "C:/php/"

AddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

Action application/x-httpd-php /php/php.exe

*********** php.ini **********

include_path = ; [not specified]
doc_root = "C:ProgramsApache GroupApachehtdocs"

extension_dir = Chp

Any help appreciated. thanks. Tom
