    Hi. I'm attempting to use php to output some news from a database to a wml document.
    I took a working wml file (hosted on apache) and added

    <?php header("Content-Type: text/vnd.wap.wml");
    echo "<?xml version="1.0"?>";
    echo "<!DOCTYPE wml PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD WML 1.1//EN"

    to the top of the file. I then changed the extension to .php

    Unfortuantely, something seems to be wrong. The wap browser I use to verify that things are working ( claims that the page that's oputput is still probably html - and fails to load.

    What am I missing?

    p.s. The file's at

    Either you need a special mod/plugin for Apache to display WML, or the PHP and XML tags are being confused on the server. I don't know right from left in the world of WAP programming, so I'm sorry that I can't help any further.
