XML Feed Being Wiped

XML Feed Being Wiped
I have an XML feed on my server which I am trying to populate onto my server. However each time I run the script to populate the database the XML feed is wiped and I have to reload it onto the my server. But the contents isn't going into my database.

I am trying to use PHP to populate a MySQL database.

Its driving me mad, surely it shouldn't just wipe the CML feed regardless of whether the script works or not?
