Zip Codes

I'm writing a customer infomation page right now, and I'm working on looking for any info on Zip Code checking. Does PHP have anything to compare Zip codes/states/cities?

If not, anyone got tips on where to go from there?

due to the fact that zip codes are regionally different I wouldn't like to see a native php function testing for us or english or frensh or whatever zip codes. It simply makes no sense for most of us.

Use a regular expression to test for valid codes: http://www.php.net/manual/pcre.pattern.syntax.php3
