I recently wrote a new discussion board using mySQL and php and I would like some input. It is heavily modelled after deja.com (I think their format is the most intuitive). If response is good I will probably release it under the General Public License. You can find it at http://126.96.36.199/forums. It has a pretty robust search engine which understands infix queries.
"Linus" and not ("bill gates"|microsoft or windows)
It also uses a caching system to display a thread tree.
To make a post on the site, just create a dummy character at http://188.8.131.52/new.php
I must warn you that the site is still difficult to navigate and is still pretty messy with grammatical errors everywhere.
All inputs (good or bad) or welcomed. Please bear in mind that it wasn't designed to be flashy, just easy to use, just like deja.com

I tried to register, but I got a message that my information could not be entered into the database. It looks good, though.

Thanks for the input.
When I added the feature to let user choose when to be automatically logged out, I forgot to update my create_account script. Everything should be alright now.
I'm currently in the process of making this a stand alone program and I hope to have a beta version available next week.
