    Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone could tell/show me how to create a mysql database via a php script as my hosts do not support telnet(dont ask). Example command lines would be a great help.

    Thanks

You can pass any valid mysql command via the mysql_query() function. I don't recall the create db syntax right now, but you can look that up in the mysql manual. BTW, are you sure you have access to create DBs? I mean that's usually restricted on a shared system and since you don't have telnet....

You might want to look into the phpMyAdmin, too. Learning syntax is important for MySQL,
but sometimes the work just needs done
