I have an Access database of around 11,000 products that I am trying to import into MySQL and use PHP3 for search and dynamic display on webpages. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to achieve this somewhat gracefully? The server is Apache and PHP3 and MySQL are already intalled.

My ancestor-sysadmin made this. Gracefully. All the circumstances were the same but we have PostgreSQL here. You should use ODBC for that. That guy told me that he had to enter some strings into WinNT registry manually, but I don't know exactly what was that. It worked. Probably I can find it in his huge archives. Email me if you want me to.

You might also want to look at mysqlimport that comes with mysql. You can import delimited files, it's quite flexibile.

On the ws you have Access on, you might wanna install MyODBC (available at the MySQL site). It installs an ODBC driver which lets you connect to the MySQL server from you Access app. I noticed it will not work if you use Access 2000, but 97 works great.
