    Hello,
We have just got MySQL to work on Windows, have installed and configured Apache and PHP so everything is working but not with eachother !

When we try to do mysql_connect() we a get error message :

"Fatal error: Call to unsupported or undefined function mysql_connect() in c:wwwqm_phpindex.php3 on line 23"

We are not sure how to connect to our database and the information on MySQL.org and php.net are not very useful.

It's all in the php manual. You need to uncomment the mysql.dll line in the php.ini file.

If that's not it, check the version of php you are using. The 3.0.13 (and maybe 3.0.12) Windows builds had problems with the mysql functions. Upgrade to 3.0.14.

    hm... yes Ok.
But I don't know exactly what to change in that php.ini file.
And if I do those changes can I then access the database thru the same way as you do in Linux ?

And I thought the information in the php and mysql documentation was very bad when it comes to Win32 (windows 98).
