I am trying to build a site that will be packaged and delivered to customers/clients with different server platforms(NT, Unix, Linux, 98/95, using Apache, NCSAHTTPd, IIS, PWS, etc., but all using MySQL) and I am trying to build authentication through PHP.
All of the authentication i have been able to use depends on either Apache Modules ('nixes), NT users, but each is sort of a custom config.
Does anyone know of a cross-platform authentication example that will rely only on username/password stored in MySQL, and not dependant on Apache modules, or NT user domains, etc.?
