    I have installed apache and php3 on my win98

    I have added the following line to the php.ini file.

    upload_tmp_dir = C:WINDOWSTEMP;

    But it still gives me this error after trying to upload a picture ??

    Do I need to set some write permissions ??

    If I need to , how do I get ftp acces to my apache.

    Where do I set user and password ??

    It isn't a matter of permissions as that's OS level and DOS doesn't use permissions. It looks to me like it's trying to escape the backslashes in your path (note the added 's).

    I'm not sure what is causing that, tho.
