    I have a couple of questions...

    I want to check a string for special characters, such as |!@#$%^&*()<>?/ etc... how could I go about that returning a true/false value if they are found in that string?

    Second, is there a way to call a php script from a static HTML page and show the results... such as having a script called TESTER.PHP3
    <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana,Arial,Helvetica">code:</font><HR><pre>
    <?php echo "Success!"; ?>
    [/code]
    and calling it from .htm or .html page?
    The use for this is a random banner grabber... I call this program from my .php3 pages using <?php require('/dir/dir/tester.inc') ?>, and I would like to call it from static HTML pages.

    Thanks for your help,
    Mike

    For this ,you will have to use server side includes(you can use "exec ssi directive").

    Thanks for the article, Shiju.

    I know there has to be a way to do it without ssi... maybe not with my setup (using the .inc file) but there is a way, phpads does it.
