*the message maybe Off-Topic, but I really need a answer. Pls help.

I am looking for a website which support PHP/MySQL Web hosting.
I have already search a lot of web hosting providers from http://hosts.php.net/ and http://www.od-site.com/php

And I found one provider I like most, but I
dont know if it is 'good' or not. http://www.phpwebhosting.com/
    charges only $9.x a month.
is there anyone using this provider?
    is it good?
Or do u have any recommendation?

I liked Dreamhost.com and they get good ratings, but my site got way too busy so I had to move to a dedicated server. My major problem with Dreamhost is no phone support. You email your problem and then wait (and hope) for an answer.

I also tried interland.net. It was reliable, but I again had to move because my site/database was too busy...nothing else to add.

I'm currently running two dedicated servers at superb.net. I like superb.net, but they're having horrible network problems lately. They'll be moving to a new NOC soon, so hopefully things will get better.

$9/month for PHP/MySQL seems quite low, but it's all getting cheaper every day.

What kind of connections are they running on at phpwebhosting.com?? Are the servers fast or are they medium? Thanks.

Try BRInet - $5/m for 25meg of space or $10/m for 50meg. They're very good but have a strange (read Windows-esque) upgrade policy so I can't say if/when they'll support PHP4. http://www.brinet.net/ for full info.

I'm using digitalspace.net which costs $2 a month for it's basic services, which aren't bad. So far they've been excellent in their service.

    I use csoft.net and he.net

he.net seems faster but they are not the most uptodate i.e apache 1.3.6 and an older version of php 3

csoft seems to keep very up to date.

both start at 9.95 per month

    Hi All,

I signed up with phpwebhosting.com and have been billed. I have not recieved access to my system yet though and it's been two weeks since signup. I have mailed them 3 times sice with no reply.

Do you perhaps have a direct email address or equivalent to get hold of them?

I am in South Africa and have no form of contact.

Sure, $9 bucks is great, but what's your bandwidth limit, and how much space are you
getting for that, any limits to the
    size of the database etc..

I see a lot of places that give oodles of
space at a real cheap price, but they
only alot you this tiny amount of bandwidth,
which is where they get you.. that $9 a month
could quickly turn into $20 or $30 a month..

    Just something to think about.
