    Include question

    hey guys on my admin page i made an include to loop true the pages so it wouldn't open a page for every tab.

    now the question is i have a pagination on one of the page that opens in the include box.

    now what annoying is that when you press next it opens another page instead of looping in the include?is there something to do with this??

    to loop true the pages
    Ebonics anyone? I assume you mean "through."

    so it wouldn't open a page for every tab.
    You lost me there. What tab? \t tab? Or FireFox tabs? Acid tabs? What?

    now the question is i have a pagination on one of the page that opens in the include box.
    Uh-huh. I see.

    now what annoying is that when you press next it opens another page instead of looping in the include?
    Was that a question?

    is there something to do with this??
    Beats me, can you show us your code and explain a bit further?

    like an iframe .

    cause now i have all includes.in the page that opens in the include there is a pagination in it.when i press next it opens in another page.

    what i dislike of includes is the side and bottom bar.i wanted to know if there is any thing to do with an include that when i open a page it opens in the same place not another page

    Imagine an include is like taking the text of that document and putting where the include text is. So if you include ("/includes/mine.php") it will include that but if you then include in mine.php include ("2.php") as 2.php and mine.php are in the same folder you will have to post it as ("/includes/2.php"). Always say that the website address should be i relation to the page you're including it on.

    You want to use frames or iframes. How is a server side processing script going to control what happens when you click in your browser? It's not...

    Not sure if this is what your after but this is a basic how you use includes

    Code:
    <html doctype header body declarations here>

    <?php
       include("header.php");
       include("navigaion.php");
       include("left_column_navigation");
    ?>

    //Content for this page here

    <close body etc>
    Includes save you coding the same things over and over for every page. So you code header.php etc once and then include that file on every page.

    If you use include in an iframe the contents will be in the iframe and nowhere else:
    say you did:
    Code:
    <html>
    <body>
    <iframe src = "http://www.google.com/"></iframe>
    YOUR CONTENTS
    </iframe>
    </body>
    </html>
    The iframe would be google and it would all be contained inside the iframe, or have i just misunderstood you and that is what you want?

    frames are totally 90s, and frames are the true headache if you ask me.

    If you explain better what your trying to do, someone can explain how to approach it properly. Maybe you should atleast link us to your page as you have it right now, maybe we can see the problem your trying to fix.

    (btw I think frames are not far off from being taken out of HTML if I recall correctly)

    it is juste that in my admin panel i want to do every thing in one page not with multiple pages.

    Techker, you are not explaining yourself very well, but maybe something like this woud do it?
    PHP Code:
    <ul>
      <li><a href="index.php?panel=contact">edit contact details</a></li>
      <li>< a href="index.php?panel=account">edit account details</a></li>
    </ul>

    <div class="panel">
    <?php

    switch ($_GET['panel']) {
      case
    "contact" :
        include (
    "contactpanel.php");
        break;
      case
    "account" :
        include (
    "accountpanel.php");
        break;
      default :
        ...
      }
    ?>
    </div>
    (I haven't included any error detection/checking for magic quotes etc.)

    can you explain just abit so i can grasp it?

    so basicly the div tag gets the info and it refreshes it self in it to.
