I am making a script that a user can input an event on a certain day of the year. Then will show all the entries in order of the date.
Scenario: User 1 adds an event for Dec. 13th, 2000......
User2 adds another event for Jan 13th, 2001.
1. How do I keep the order so that the Dec one shows up before the January one.
2. How do I go about formatting the date? Use a "date" attribute on a MySQL row or make them input a specific format?
Thank you for your time. Any example code for these would be deeply appreciated.
** Sorry for all the posts today, major work day i guess, finally got motivated. Thanks alot. Cya.

what medium are you using to store the information? Text file or db?
a db would be _much_ easier (your sql command could just do an ORDER BY date_column), but its possible to do with a textfile as well, although i wouldnt recommend it.

I am using a database. But would PHP order the date according to not only the month and day, but to the year too? That is my only dilema. Let me know...thanks.
