    Hi.

Researching development of a WAP site using WML and PHP. However, I may not necessarily want _all_ of my .wml pages to be PHP-enabled, just normal wml. Therefore, I need the Apache server to recognize multiple file extensions. This is what I'm trying within .htaccess, but it does _not_ work. HELP!!!

    # MIME Types for WAP

    # For PHP 3.x, use this:
    AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3 .wml

    # For normal WML pages.
    AddType text/vnd.wap.wml .wml

    # End MIME Types for WAP

    TIA,
    /wj

Did you try using the following? This is from the tutorial/article here on DevShed:

    Quote:

If you're using Apache, you simply need to add the following MIME-type directives to the Apache configuration file "httpd.conf". Alternatively, if your ISP doesn't allow you access to the primary configuration file, you could try adding them to the per-directory .htaccess file. If neither of these work, you always have the option of yelling for Joe Admin...

    AddType text/vnd.wap.wml wml
    AddType image/vnd.wap.wbmp wbmp
    AddType text/vnd.wap.wmlscript wmls
    AddType application/vnd.wap.wmlc wmlc
    AddType application/vnd.wap.wmlscriptc wmlsc

You can also check out -> http://www.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_mime.html#addtype

You should see a line "Override: FileInfo". That is, the httpd.conf on your server needs to have "AllowOverride All" or "AllowOverride FileInfo" for your directory. Otherwise, the "AddType" lines in your .htaccess will be ignored.
