Hi everyone long time lurker first time poster. This is my first real Php script so go easy on me.

I am putting a form on my site that will allow someone to submit a link to me. If they have a return link back to me it will effect the way I display thier link. Closer to the top of the page.

What do I have to do in order to see if my link is up on the page they submit.

    Thanks in advance.

I think it's fopen, where you can open up a web page. maybe using fsocket, also will work. Look at those in the manual on php.net. Once you make a connection to their page, you can read it in line by line and search for a <a href="http://yourpage.com"> within it. the only problem is that if the link is spread across two lines, you might not find it. Look into regular expressions for an easy way to search for your link, or even at strstr().

sorry i can't give a complete example. do a search on here, though, because i've seen people talking about it before.
