Hey, I need to install php on an account that I'm hosted with (a virtual server-type thing). Anybody have any idea how I can do everything to work with my account? I know it can be done, but don't know where to start.

Maybe or maybe not. Installing PHP as CGI might work for you but not as an Apache module.
