I keep trying to ask this on the PHP-General Mailing list, but it's up and down so much lately that it's basically useless. Can anyone here help?

After browsing through the list archives, I don't recall seeing anyone who had been able to successfully build PHP with JPEG support. Does anyone out there exist who has? If so, perhaps you could help me. I've got the GD and JPEG Libraries installed on my Linux box (running apache 1.3.9), and have tried to configure PHP "--with-gd" and "--with-jpeg" pointing to the correct locations of each library - with no luck.

Is JPEG support possible in PHP?

Search this forum and you will find several references.

I also posted a way that worked for me at http://www.php.net/manual/ref.image.php (look at the user-contributed note at the bottom)
