Can anybody help me understand (and solve) why I get the Browser message "Page has Expired" everytime I press the "Back" button?

NB: "Refreshing" the data brings the form data back.

The PHP application consists of several forms called in sequence.

    Thanks

It's probably a security issue; if the browser cached every form submissal page, anyone who can get access to your local machine could read things such as ID numbers, passwords and the like. If you were to close and re-open the browser, then reload the form, there would be no variables sent to it.

Don't use "back", instead try following hard links back to the main page (alternatively, you can toss in a META Refresh tag to refresh to the main page after a certain number of seconds.)
