Session timeout when not using sessions
One of the scripts had in the beginning:
even though sessions are not used. Could that have caused the timeouts?

"Session timeout" is not a thing. That is, it's not a general-purpose term that everyone uses the same way.
When you say "session timeout," what do you mean? Does your application say "your session has timed out"? If so, find that message and see why.
