    Why is this website so slow?

    Hello;

    I have optimized everything but still this site "sometimes" takes up to 10 seconds to load.

    I can't find out what it is! Can someone please give me a hand?

    Thank you

    I can't tell: are we supposed to be able to tell what the problem is with just the URL?

    Hi;

    I can't use Yslow on this computer for some reason. It just freezes my browser.

    How do you recommend me to check it?

    The problem is clear to me. You just need to delete lines 50 to 56 and your site will be lightening fast.

    Hello,

    I might be misreading your tone, and if that's the case I apologize - but please don't tell our moderators/members to "just deal with it," when they ask you kindly to provide more information.

    That said, the site loads well for me - in maybe 2 seconds, it's pretty quick . But if you're still having trouble, looks like Fishmonger has an idea too. Hope it works!

    Hey markroberts;

    Requinix is a legend. My top 3 secret crush.

    It's my English. Came aggressive I guess.

    Anyways, I sending love to everybody. Still not sure why the damn site is slow.

    Put a timer on your server script, and see how long that takes. I include a small not obvious timer display on all pages during early release. I also log the timer for page loads as well as ajax calls.

    I typically see values of 0.02 seconds, so I feel my server is working well.

    Do you have a bunch of image/css/js requests on your page? I've recently started using https://code.google.com/p/minify/, and it seems okay. For the images, sprites would be a good option.

    Also, when you are viewing the page, do you have Firebug open? I've noticed that it kills page rendering. I expect the Chrome/IE equivalent will have the same effect.
