    It is simply <audio src="yourplayer.mp3" type="audio/mpeg"></audio>

    Guides here: HTML5 Audio

I'm not sure why you've posted this in our PHP section - are you looking for a PHP specific solution? If this is a general question, it should probably go in "Beginner Programming," our catch-all category. Or perhaps HTML, which is what the guide MonP linked to is written for.

Send me a PM and I can move it if necessary.

Well, let's hang on a second. If you want a PHP script, then this is the place to talk about PHP. Thing is, I don't know if this can be done in PHP - the HTML way described by MonP might be the best. But please correct me if I'm wrong, anyone!

    You're not wrong.

PHP is server-side, while the player is client-side, so you can't have a PHP-based music player.

You can have a PHP script that will serve data to a client-side player, but that's where it ends, and there's no way to give any idea about that without knowing which of the 1,000's of various players out there that you'd be planning on using.

Ok, cool! I'm not super knowledgeable about this area, so I'm glad to know my hunch was right.

So it sounds like you're looking for the PHP script to serve data - but like Catacaustic says we'll need to know what kind of player you're using (and the code of that). So if you can provide that, we might be able to help more

Sorry, but we're not here to do your work and research for you. It's your project and you need to make an effort to do this yourself - the learning process is why you're doing the project in the first place. if we do it all for you, you'll never learn anything.

There are a lot of resources around, and if you spend 5 minutes doing some very basic searching you'll find 100's of options. Choose one and try to get it to work. If it doesn't work come back here with the code and the errors that you're seeing, and then we can help.

You can use a JS based web player instead.
