    Is there a php header that guarantees no search engine can find the page?

    Hi;

    I generate random urls with php uniqueid() and share the link with some dangerous people like James Bond.

    For example: www.my_domain.com/share/598c4b4175468

    I wanna make sure no one can find pages on a www.my_domain.com.

    Even those who know www.my_domain exists.

    Also I don't want to place this behind a login system.

    So I wanna create shareable links, only with specific lazy people like mother Thresa.

    I also don't want to phuck around with htaccess either.

    What's the 100% solid way to make sure the link is safe guarded by the dragons?

    Thanks

    There isn't a way to make it 100% secure without a login system.

    Search engines don't go around trying to guess URL's on your site, so it's not like one is just going to magically discover the page out of no where. However if someone left a link to that page laying around, say on a forum for example then the search engine will find it and follow it.

    That's what things like robots.txt and the robots meta tag are for, to tell the search engine that if it happens to find X url, ignore it.

    Would you say this is the safest method to put this in head?

    Code:
    <meta name="robots" content="noindex">

    The search engines nice enough to observe that, will. The ones that don't, won't.

    Ok then it's easy decision.

    This is mostly to share custom design content with clients and share the links etc on Skype.

    So I think I am gonna make links that are valid only a few hours. Then disable them if they are old.

    Disabled pages ask for their email to enable the page again.
