    Accessing my old PGSQL database

I recently upgraded, but my old databases no longer exist. Fortunately I do have the old database files, but I cannot figure out how to export the databases from there, and then import them into my new installation of PGSQL. Does anyone know how to export databases from a file without using the actual PGSQL server?

AFAIK, the only way to get your old data back is to install the old version of PG you had and then do a pg_dump on your database and then do a restore after upgrading.

Thanks, I managed to get it back by copying the files over to an old server of mine that is still using the old version of PGSQL. I was able to then restore the data on the new server. Thanks for your help.
