Well, I got it from CPAN.org in the end

thing is, damn thing won't compile it asks me to:

"please set environment variables POSTGRES_INSTALL and POSTGRES_LIB"

I've tried setting environment variables with those names, but since I've no idea what kind of data they're supposed to have stored in them it's no suprise that it's made no difference

can anyone help?

or point me to someone who can?

Matt

I have it sorted now,
if you set the POSTGRES_HOME variable, Perl uses it to work out the other two.

now to see if it works with perl.......................
