Migrating from PostgreSQL Windows to Linux
Hi,
I have database in Windows and I would like to move it to a Linux PostgreSQL. I don't have direct access to the Linux machine so I am connecting Linux server remotely with PgAdminIII.
I export the database with the Plain SQL (for some reason I don't see PGAdmin's Backup and Restore options on Linux server connection) option and try to execute on the previously created database.
I get an error message of "ERROR: character 0xe28099 of encoding "UNICODE" has no equivalent in "LATIN5""
Anyone has an idea what the reason why I can't restore the database and the way to fix it?
Many thanks
