Need Help With pg_backup Script

I downloaded the pg_backup scripts from the wiki & I can run them from the terminal (ubuntu server), but it asks for my password when doing the backups. Obviously that won't work when running automatically from a cron job. Anyone know what I need to do to make this happen?
