Recovery till what level ??

I'm current using pg_dump to backup my PostgreSQL databases.

However, I was wondering if any method is available to have a higher level of recovery than that which is offered by pg_dump??

Can you please point me to specific idocs/notes to this end ?? Do post your views on Recovery in PostgreSQL.

Postgres currently does NOT support incomplete recovery (time based, transaction ID based, etc), but this will be a major feature in version 7.3.

What about complete recovery using the WAL logs ?? Is this possible ??
