returning result sets from a function

i'm trying to create a function that will return a set of results. at the moment i can only see how to return a single value.

i've seen a type of 'SET' but the postgres documentation is pretty poor. some searches have suggested that it may not be possible which would be a shame, cos i just ditched mySQL cos i was sick of having certain features missing.

any links to good examples would be great.

You can give interbase a go. It has stored procedure which you are looking for.

I am sorry that postgre does not have stored procs yet( I am not postgre guru so dont take my words granted)

Anyway you should search for interbase they went back to borland but there is a free version everywhere available.

    IMHO
