Setting up PostgreSQL database/GIS/Geoportal (Apache license problem)

Hello,

I am a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) practitioner completely new to Apache and PostgreSQL. I am trying to install ESRI's GeoPortal server.

I am specifically trying to set up a PostgreSQL database for the portal. Whenever I run the .cmd script required to set up the PostgreSQL database, I receive a message stating that I need to obtain/validate a license.

I copied the information I found on Apache License, version 2.0, page to a .txt document and placed the .txt document inside the PostgreSQL folder. I ran the .cmd from the PostgreSQL folder again and obtained the same message stating that I need to obtain a license.

If anyone can help me solve this error --help me validate the license, so I can run the .cmd-- I would be very grateful.

Postgres does not require a license.

And the Postgres installer does not require you to run a .cmd script (assuming you are on Windows).

So there is a lot you are not telling. At least the exact error message would be interesting.
