Yeah, I was thinking that those features added up to a B I I I G wishlist to implement all at once  .
My first hope was that PITR (point-in-time recovery) would be in place, and secondly nested transactions.
I'm not so worried about native replication, since replication IS available for those who need it, and are willing to spend a bit of money.
Windows version? Hey, I said I wanted PITR, not PITA  .
But, I am very happy that one of my favorite features will be in place: CHECK constraints for domains. I think many developers don't realize how important domains can be, and how crippled a domain system is without constraints.
Anyway, I have a feeling it will be version 8.0 before all those features are in PostgreSQL. But, there has been talk in the mailing lists of speeding up an 8.0 release.
