Unable to connect using pgAdmin on Windows
I am just started with PostgreSQL.
I have the PostgreSQL server running on a Linux server, and after having loaded the pgAdmin utility for Windows I am trying to access the server from the Windows server.
I am prompted to enter the following information when adding server:
- Address: here I enter the IP address of the server that hosts postgres.
- Description: here enter a description for this entry
- Service: here I enter the service created for this installation. For me it is ppas-9.2
Port: for me this is post 5444
Initial DB: edb
Password: the password for the corresponding user.
I get the error:
Error connecting to the server: FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host
192.168.11.1 user enterprisedb database edb SSL off
I have the following entry for pg_hba.conf:
host all all 192.168.11.1/24 md5
host all all 192.168.11.1/32 md5
as explained in the documentation from the PostgreSQL site.
Can someone explain me what is wrong here?
Thanks by advance.
