    Password authentication failed

I am new to Postgresql. I had to start using it for OpenERP.

Everything was working just fine for 5days but now i keep getting an error while trying to login.
Nothing has changed as for as I know.

    An error has occured

Error connecting to the server: FATAL: password authentication failed for user "openpg"

I checked the pgpass file and the password and user are correct.

    the port 5032 is listening
password for user openpg should be openpgpwd
it's also stated like that in the pgpass file

I hope somebody can help me to get access in the database again because I don't wanna lose all the data in it. (I spend the last few days with importing everything...)

    Many thanks in advance

You can always login as superuser and reset the password (or ask you admin to do it).

The password itself is very very weak so if the server is reachable by the net it would be peanuts to hack by brute force.
Putting the password in a pgpass file doesn't help security either of course...
