Hi, I facing the first project in node.js + express + mongoose + mongoDB.
Sadly the first one and maybe one of the biggest.
I'm founding mongoDB (a noSQL document oriented dbms) very limiting for my porpouses: it gives you a method for references a fields of a document to another collection, but you can be sure you will have bad time trying to make a join-query or any kind of complex query.
I'm valuating switching to postgres, I'm here to take advices
- have you tried it with nodejs?
- which ORM do you prefer (mature in nodejs)?
- can I store as field in postgres: array of references to other collection, embedded documents, references to another document to the same collection, array of object with references in it?

I'm pretty sure but better check: can I make join query, nested query and all the good ol' mysql stuff?
