I want to add a feature to Sylpheed, not sure where to start.

    Hey,
I recently started using sylpheed, and I love it. There is just one thing more that I would like it to do, inline decryption. At the moment, sylpheed only decrypts attachments, it does not decrypt text in a message, and I was thinking that maybe I could attempt to make that change. I'm new to C/C++ but want to take on the challenge. I was wondering if somebody might be able to help me get started.

What I was thinking is I could find the function which handles the message views, and have it check the body of the message against a regular expression to test if the body has GPG or PGP contents, and then if it does, tie it into GPGME etc... I know I am going to need to read up on GPGME, that's obvious, but I've never added a feature to a program like this before (but have always wanted to.) I'm just looking for some guidance in the right direction. Thanks for any help!!

    Mike. :D

I managed to track down the function, and am working on gpgme, so nevermind itēs easier than I thought.
