how can i captuer keyboard input when my program doesn't have the focus? i also want to make sure that the input goes to the active application.

can i disable Ctrl+Alt+Del by capturing it before it goes to the operating system?

Yeah, you'll need to write a device driver then. To do this, you'll first need to get your hands on a DDK (Devicedriver Development Kit) from Microsoft.

[edit] Found some code in Delphi that you can use maybe:

To trap ctrl-alt-del, you'll probably need to write your own device driver though [/edit]
