Question A problem with the Code Blocks programme

I've recently started writing program on the Code Blocks compiler but there is one huge problem. When I am ready with the program and I choose "build and run", down on the white field is appearing the following message -> "d - Release" uses an invalid compiler. Probably the toolchain path within the compiler options is not setup correctly?! Skipping..."
Can somebody help me with an advise what to do ?Thanks.

If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper

Code::Blocks is not a compiler. It is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) that can be used with a compiler of your choice. It sounds as if you have not configured it to use a compiler or the compiler you configured it to use is not installed, or you simply misconfigured it.

If you are using Windows then the simplest solution is to install Code::Blocks using the installer named codeblocks-10.05mingw-setup.exe which includes a compiler. If you installed using codeblocks-10.05-setup.exe then you did not install a compiler tool-chain.

Code::Blocks on Linux will use GCC by default.
