Code for MIDI (protocoll) looking for class/library

    Hello,

I'd like to write music programs using MIDI . I'm sure there is something already written one could use, like a class or library that does the technical stuff so I can concentrate on WHAT to send on the MIDI chanell, and not HOW to send it.

Can anyone point me in a direction ? I am using Borland c++ Builder.

    Thanks a lot !

you could write it to a .mid file and use TMediaplayer...

playing from a stream or using single chords, try searching on community.borland.com. they have nearly any info about windows programming there.

    thanks

The links been rather helpfull, especially the delphi page which is delphi code though , which i didn t want to use because i already use this at work and had PREFERED to use C for this project. anyways, there are lots of components there that should do this job. writing to a file, then playing with TMEDia... seems too less "realtime" . I'll find a way using all info available now. Thank you. Hope to be able to let you know about the product SOON :)
