Game without installation
Hi to all!
We have one simple game (for PC, C++). We need to make a portable version of this game, so users can play it without installation (at work, for example!). What technologies for creating portable games do you know?
I've already got some good advice from colleagues. But the question is still relevant!

What does it mean to be 'portable'? Generally programs don't need 'installation' in order to run, that phenomenon is something that got started in Windows a long time ago and became tradition. If you have a single executable, no need for any sort of data store, then any user should be able to just double click on the executable and play.
If you are talking running on more than Windows then you have a whole different suite of issues and will need to learn about such platform-independent GUI toolkits like wxWidgets, FLTK, OpenGL, etc.

Use xennapp for it. Also, You can use thinapp or boxedapp for Your game.

I also think that it would be very easy to write such a game on the flash. When I was a schoolboy, I loved those games. They quickly started and minimized. It is good when my mother watched me))) :D :D :D

You must to try OpenGL.
OpenGL (Open Graphics Library) is a cross-language, multi-platform API for rendering 2D and 3D computer graphics.
