I have to write a middleware (Proxy??) in c to receive all http requests, do some input verifications and pass it to the web server in some other machine. The response can go directly from web server to client.

Why did you accept the job if you didn't have the minimal qualifications for it?
You also need to know the HTTP protocol. You could start with the O'Reilly book, HTTP, The Definitive Guide, which can be downloaded for free as a PDF file. Google on o'reilly http the definitive guide pdf.
And if this is a homework assignment, you have been notified that we will not do your homework for you. You need to do your own work. When you run into specific problems, then post what you're having problems with.
Always use CODE TAGS to preserve the indentation of your properly formatted (meaning consistently indented) code listings.
Some years back I created a site on sockets programming at http://pgm.dwise1.net/sockets/index.html.
If this is for school, then you should have been taught something about sockets. If you really don't know anything about it, you have a lot of practicing to do.
