    VC++ 6.0, open command

    Hello,
    Okay, I am a beginner using VC++. I would like to make a simple program that will store the address of an open command.

    For example, when ever you click the open command in a "Word" docuement a screen pops up and allows you to scroll through files. It allows you to travers through directories and so on. I would like to be able to do this, but I have no idea how.

    I know where it says "Look in", is a combo box.
    "Up one level" is a button
    I am guessing the main screen is "List Control"

    But that is it. I just need as much help as you can give me. Thanks a million.
    Sincerely,
    Ronald

    For this you don't need to know yet about individual controls. The Open Dialog box is predefined for you. Read your documentation and help files, it can explain how to use it to you better than I can. Look for CCommonDialog.
