    Pascal udp


    Hi lads,
    I figure you're all getting a bit tired of my noob pascal (considered a noob language) questions but plz bare with me on this one =) Does any one know of a good tut on UDP programming in pascal? Perhaps my googling skillz suck or there are just no good tuts on this.

    Socket programming as a whole is not part of the Pascal standard, though there may be a 3rd party lib somewhere that does it. If you're using Delphi though, there are a bunch of socket components available and they do support UDP.

    FreePascal supports sockets and IIRC had a tutorial/documentation on how to work with their library. I assume GNU Pascal also has sockets since IIRC it borrows things from GCC. These are the two of the main Pascal's out there, I'm not sure why anyone would use anything else.

    Okay, thanks. I will check it out. Oh, and I use FPC.
