    Memory managemnt


    i've a project in C. that manage multiple documents to edit, it works well if i opens 1 or 2 files. but if i opens 3 or more files it strucs. i also compile it with large & huge memory models & my system had also 256mb of RAM

    how can i mange to open multiple text files with allocate memory of hole file???
    or
    any easy solution available????

    please help me.

    You haven't really given enough information for people to help you. From your descriptionm of using large and huge memory models, I'm guessing you're using a really old compiler and operating system, but that guess could be way out.

    Try;

    a) Identifying your compiler and operating system.
    b) Providing a short but complete code example that illustrates your problem.

    Most of us here aren't too good at mindreading over the internet :-)

    ok here is my system & compiler detailes

    i'm using
    Turbo C++ Compiler v3.0
    os is WIndows XP
    processor Intel Pentium III

    actually my project had include this features
    1. text editor for dos it manages multiple documents at a time
    2. hexa file editor for dos
    3. file explorer for dos

    hexa file editor & file explorer for dos is completed but i'm having problems against text editor, it is works well but if i opens 3 or more files to Windows xp gives error message like this
    ES:00000 00 00 00
    like that
    why it is
    please help me.........
