Hello and yes I'm a newbie (Big time) But I like to mess a round with c++ and I was wondering if there's a way to make a dll that will hold windows icons

Yes. A lot of the standard Windows icons are stored in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\moricons.dll (or C:\windows\system32\moricons.dll), so that's proof of it being possible.

If you care, you can also store icons in your own EXE file as resources. It will make your EXE file bigger (depending on size of icons) but youll only need to send around 1 executable rather than .exe with .dll.
