    C++ Timer Function


    Hello,
    I need to implement a timer function for a program in C++. I need to display a message on screen for 20 seconds and thats it. Please can some one help.

    Please provide more details:
    (a) OS - Windoze, Linux, FreeBSD etc.
    (b) Development Environment - Visual C++, Borland C++ Builder, gcc etc.

    You can use the functions in <time.h> (or <ctime>) to write your own delay routine for something like this. Should be available whichever platform you're on.
