    Fn Key Behaviour Swap

    I commonly like to switch between the behaviour of the fn key row. That is, swapping whether pressing F1, F2, etc. does the default or has some other function (such as adjusting sound).

    E.g pressing F5 by default refreshes a page in a browser, but Fn+F5 adjusts the brightness.
    By going into the control panel on windows, you can swap this so that pressing F5 adjusts the brightness and Fn+F5 refreshes a page.

    Basically, is there a way to write a small program that, when it runs, it swaps the behaviour, and closes?

    Sudo code example:
    Code:
    if (fn key behaviour == multimedia) {
       fn key behaviour = function key
    } else {
        fn key behaviour = multimedia
    }
    close();

    Yes. There's multiple ways to do it that all involve Windows specific API's. Go to MSDN and search for WMI. Generally, if there's a knob in the Windows control panel, there's a WMI interface you can use in a script or program.

    I've had a look but I have no idea what to search for to narrow down the results. Anything more specific?
